Howard loves anything barbecue and this spice-rubbed turkey breast hits just the right spot. It’s a delicious combination of both sweet and smoky and is cooked to perfection in our air fryer.
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes
Servings: 6-8
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ground paprika
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 turkey breast tenderloins, rinsed and patted dry
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper in a small bowl.
Sprinkle rub mixture on turkey tenderloins and press on to all sides. Place in air fryer basket and spray well with cooking spray. Cook at 360°F for 25-30 minutes per pound. If desired, flip turkey halfway through cook time and spray again with cooking spray.
Using a meat thermometer, check that internal temperature has reached 165°F. If it hasn’t, continue cooking in 2-3 minute increments until temperature has been reached. Carefully remove from air fryer basket. Let sit about 5-10 minutes prior to serving.
Enjoy!
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: The spice rub we used on this turkey breast is wonderful on chicken, too. We typically like to double the recipe and save the extra for later. If you like a little heat, we suggest adding a little cayenne powder or more ground black pepper.
