Byers’ Choice and their world-famous Carolers are always prominently featured in our home, especially during the holidays. These hand-crafted figurines are truly a work of art.
Joyce Byers crafted her first Carolers in the late 1960s as a way to showcase the warmth and loving memories of Christmases past. The first year, they graced her dining room table for the holidays and she received many compliments from family and friends. The next year, she crafted enough Carolers, with the help of her husband and sons, to give as gifts. In the early 1970s, she began offering them for sale at a local Women’s Exchange and later at a few other select locations. Byers’ Choice was formally founded in 1978 and, soon after, their Carolers began selling across the country.
All of their beloved Carolers are manufactured at their facility in Pennsylvania. Joyce, an artist with a degree in fashion design, still crafts each and every Caroler, which their team of highly-skilled artisans bring to life. While they’re known for their Christmas creations, Byers’ Choice also offers a wide range of other holidays and non-seasonal Carolers, as well.
We’ve been collecting Byers’ Choice Carolers for years now. Our collection continues to grow with each beautiful new addition that we will treasure for many years to come.
