DISH TOWEL UTENSIL ORGANIZER

Always have your utensils ready to go with this handy organizer. Get the deviled eggs and sandwiches ready because we’re picnic-bound.

Supplies:

  • Large dish towel
  • Straight pins
  • Sewing machine
  • All-purpose thread in a corresponding color of dish towel
  • Ribbon
  • Scissors

Directions:

Lay dish towel down with back side facing up. Fold the bottom of the towel up so that hems are facing one another, using your utensils as a guide for pocket depth. Divide the folded section into the desired number of pockets, placing a straight pin where the seam of each pocket will be.

Sew the outside seams of the pocket using a sewing machine, or by hand, if desired, ensuring that you back stitch at the beginning and end of each row. Continue this step to create each of the pockets.

Sew the middle of a long piece of ribbon to one side of the towel where the pocket meets the side, ensuring you back stitch.

To use, fold the top of dish towel over the pockets, roll up and tie using the ribbon.

Enjoy!

ORANGE & FIELD TIP: We suggest using grosgrain ribbon due to it being sturdier. Be sure to cut the ends of your ribbon at an angle for a prettier presentation.
