DIY WAX MELTS

These DIY wax melts are a fantastic way to take your favorite candle and turn it into a safer way to fragrance your home. They make a fabulous gift, too!


Supplies:

  • Glass jar candle
  • Saucepan
  • Silicone ice cube mold(s)
  • Dish towel
  • Airtight container

Directions:

If candle has lid, remove and set aside or discard. Place candle in saucepan and add enough water to go halfway up the side of candle. Warm candle over medium-low heat until fully melted.

Using dish towel, carefully remove candle from saucepan and pour into silicone mold(s). Let sit at room temperature until wax has completely set.

Remove wax melts from mold and store in airtight container.

ORANGE & FIELD TIP: Don’t throw the jar away when you’re done with it! Remove any excess wax that might still be lingering in the jar by rinsing it with very hot water and then cleaning it in the dishwasher. Reuse the jar as a vase, candle holder or even as a storage container for your wax melts.
