Keep your sunglasses safe with this simple DIY. The hardest part will be figuring out which fabulous fabric to use.
Supplies:
- 8-by-8 inch piece of fabric
- Scissors
- Sewing machine
- All-purpose thread in a corresponding color
- Nylon trim cord
- Straight pin
Directions:
With the fabric right side down, fold in a 1/4-inch by 3-inch long section of the top left and right side corners. Stitch each folded corner using a sewing machine. Trim any loose threads.
Cut a 12-inch piece of nylon trim cord. With the fabric right side down, lay cord 1/4-inch down from the top of the fabric. Fold the top of the fabric down 1/4-inch over the cord then repeat folding down another 1/4-inch. Stitch along the bottom of the folded edge using a sewing machine, ensuring you don’t sew over the cord. Trim any loose threads.
Fold right sides of the fabric together so that the tops meet, creating a rectangle. Stitch along outer edges leaving a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Trim any loose threads.
Turn fabric right side out and pull out corners using a straight pin. Tie the ends of the cord together in a knot.
Enjoy!
