COOKING WITH CHEF CHARLOTTE
Chef Charlotte’s favorite type of food is anything fun and these firecracker hot dogs are about as fun as you can get. Three simple ingredients make this an easy, instant favorite.

Cook time: 13 minutes
- Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet
- 8 jumbo hot dogs
- 8 ounces colby jack cheese
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Open can of Pillsbury Crescent Dough Sheet and unroll dough onto cutting board. Cut lengthwise into 8 equal strips.
Insert wooden bamboo skewer into one end of hot dog and carefully push through until pointed tip is about 1 1/2-inches out other side.
Beginning at one end, wrap dough strip around hot dog and trim off any excess dough. Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat with remaining hot dogs. Bake until dough is golden brown, about 10-13 minutes. Let cool slightly.
For stars, cut cheese into 1/4-inch thick slices. Using a small star cookie cutter, cut out 8 stars. Insert bottom of star into pointed tip of skewer. Repeat with remaining stars.
