We love the classic, elegant look of a beautifully crocheted doily and it’s intricately detailed design makes it the perfect spiderweb for a creepy crawly friend.
- Wooden picture frame
- Crochet doily (larger than frame)
- Staple gun
- Staple gun staples
- Plastic spider
- Craft glue (we used Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue)
Remove glass, mat board, backing board and any other components from frame.
Lay frame, front side facing down, on flat work surface. Place desired section of doily on top of frame. Press doily into frame, securing by carefully stapling into front or sides. Repeat until doily has been fully secured inside of frame. Trim excess doily with scissors.
Flip frame on work surface. Secure spider onto front side of doily with craft glue. Let dry completely.
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: Be sure that your frame is thicker than the length of your staples otherwise they’ll go right through the wood.
