Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 35 minutes
Servings: Makes 6 brownies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (not dutch processed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup dried strawberries, crushed into fine powder
- 4 teaspoons milk
Preheat oven to 350°F. Generously spray heart silicone mold with cooking spray. Set aside.
Whisk together butter, granulated sugar, light brown sugar, and oil in medium bowl. Add eggs and vanilla and whisk until well incorporated.
Sift in flour, cocoa powder and salt. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined, careful not to overmix. Fold in 1/2 of chocolate chips. Divide batter evenly amongst 6 hearts in silicone mold. Using tip of knife or spoon, spread batter in hearts into single layers. Top with remaining chocolate chips. Bake until a toothpick inserted in each brownie comes out clean, about 30-35 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
Combine powdered sugar, strawberries and milk in small bowl. Drizzle over cooled brownies.
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: If you don’t have a heart mold, these delicious brownies could also be cooked in a muffin tin.
