The kiddos will be the life of the Mardi Gras celebration with these fun, homemade party masks. Bring on the King Cake and let the festivities begin.

  • Glitter foam sheets in green, purple and yellow
  • Pen
  • Scissors
  • Kids white foam eye masks
  • Flat turkey feathers in green, purple and yellow
  • Craft knife (optional)

Using a pen, trace both hands onto backside of color glitter foam sheets, using a different color for each hand. Cut out and set aside.

Place eye mask on work surface and apply hot glue between eyes from nose to top of mask. Arrange 5-7 feathers of a different color than foam hands onto hot glue. Let dry completely.

Place hands, glitter side up, on mask, covering as much white of the mask as possible. Ensure palms of hands slightly overlap in middle. Once hands have been placed, apply hot glue to backside of hands and press onto mask until glue has dried.

Turn mask over and cut out eyes holes with scissors or craft knife. Trim off any exposed white of mask using scissors.

ORANGE & FIELD TIP: If the kiddos will be making these masks by themselves we suggest using a craft glue like Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue instead of hot glue. However, make sure you let the glue set overnight or until it’s completely dry before cutting out eyeholes or doing any trimming.
