MULLED CIDER

Nothing makes you feel more cozy than a warm beverage on a cool night. Not only will it keep you nice and toasty but it’ll bring the fragrances of the season into your home.

Ingredients:

  • 1 gallon 100% apple cider
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 allspice berries
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 large orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 large red delicious apple
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple

Directions:

Combine apple cider, cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, star anise and orange in a large pot and bring to a simmer, about 10 minutes.

Core and dice the red and green apples and add to cider prior to serving. Serve warm.

ORANGE & FIELD TIP: To turn your mulled cider into an adult beverage, add approximately 1 1/2 cups of brandy, rum or bourbon along with the apple cider.
