MUMMY PIZZA

This mummy pizza is almost more fun to make than it is to eat. Honestly, we think he’s a handsome looking fella.


Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 9 minutes

Servings: 2-4


Ingredients:

  • 1 readymade rectangle pizza crust
  • Pizza sauce
  • Block of low-moisture mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large pitted black olive, sliced in half

Directions:

Preheat oven to 425°F. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.

Place pizza crust on baking sheet and spread with desired amount of pizza sauce.

Using the side of your box grater that produces strips, run the long, narrow side of your block of cheese over it creating thin strips. Repeat until you have the desired number of strips to create the bandages of your mummy (we used 8 strips). Place strips on pizza in a zig-zag design, leaving a narrow space at the top of the pizza for eyes.

Place each olive half in the open space at the top, creating eyes.

Bake until cheese is slightly melted and all ingredients are warmed through, about 7-9 minutes. Let cool slightly.

ORANGE & FIELD TIP: While we used a readymade rectangle pizza crust, this mummy pizza would be just as fun on a naan or flat bread.
