Add a pop of color to one of Mother Nature’s treasures with acrylic paint. Kids will love being able to bring a bit of the outdoors inside with this simple DIY.
- Acrylic paint in three corresponding colors
- Foam paint daubers
If necessary, prep your pinecone by removing any debris from it.
Using a foam paint dauber, dab lightest paint on the tips of the top third of pinecone. Repeat on the middle third with medium-colored paint, lightly dabbing new color over the bottom row of the previous color. Repeat previous step on the bottom third with darker paint. Let dry completely.
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: You can lighten your darkest color with white paint to use for the bottom two thirds of your pinecone. This will save you having to find three corresponding colors.
