PLAY “OH” CLAY

With a few kitchen essentials, kids can let out their inner artist. Who knows what they’ll create. Isn’t it fun what you can cook up?

Supplies:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • Saucepan
  • Spoon
  • 1 cup water
  • 8-10 drops food coloring
  • 1 tablespoon fractionated (liquid) coconut oil

Directions:

Combine flour, salt and cream of tartar in a medium saucepan. In a measuring cup, combine water, food coloring and coconut oil. Add water mixture to saucepan.

Cook on medium heat until mixture forms into a ball, about 3-5 minutes. Remove clay from saucepan and place on counter to cool, about 10 minutes.

Knead clay until food coloring has been fully incorporated.

Store in air-tight container or storage bag.

Enjoy!

ORANGE & FIELD TIP: For fun, combine different shades of food coloring.
