Charlotte loves looking for rainbows after a good Spring rainstorm. With this adorable, simple craft, she can have one with her whenever she likes.
Supplies:
- Cloud Template (available below)
- Cardstock
- Scissors
- Newspaper/scrap paper
- Craft glue (we used Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue)
- Paintbrush
- White glitter
- 5/8-inch grosgrain ribbon in rainbow colors
- Ruler
- Painter’s Tape
Directions:
Print Cloud Template (available below) onto cardstock and cut out with scissors.
Cover work surface with newspaper. Using a paintbrush, apply a thin layer of craft glue to desired side of cloud. Sprinkle with generous amount of glitter and shake off excess onto work surface. Let dry completely.
Cut two 12-inch pieces of each grosgrain ribbon color. Flip cloud over onto work surface. Cut a piece of painter’s tape slightly shorter than the length of cloud. Place tape in desired location on cloud to use as a guide for the ribbon. Arrange cut ends of ribbon along tape in a rainbow pattern. Cut another piece of painter’s tape slightly longer than first piece. Carefully place along top of ribbon to secure to cloud.
Enjoy!
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: We covered our cloud with glitter because Charlotte loves anything sparkly. If you prefer not to use glitter, A cute handrawn face or googly wiggle eyes with a mouth would be an adorable substitute.
