Rob’s take on old-fashioned lemonade is one of Charlotte’s favorite drinks. With just the right amount of sweetness, you’ll definitely want a second glass.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 1/2 liters
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
Directions:
Create a simple syrup by bringing granulated sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan and cooking until liquid runs clear. Remove from heat and set aside.
Combine lemon juice and simple syrup in a pitcher and mix with a spoon. Add 1 liter water to pitcher and mix well. Fill any remaining space in pitcher with ice, if desired.
Enjoy!
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: If you’re preparing the lemonade in advance, we suggest not adding the ice to the pitcher until it’s ready to serve. Doing this will prevent the drink from becoming too watered down.
