Spring has sprung! We’re welcoming the vibrant colors of the season into our home with this stunning peony wreath.
- Artificial peony bushes (we used a beautiful fuschia we found at our local craft store)
- Wire cutters
- Green foam wreath
- Hot glue gun
- Glue sticks
- Ribbon/floral wire (optional)
Remove flowers and leaves from floral bushes. Using wire cutters, trim bottom tip of flowers, leaving about 1/4-inch to insert into wreath. Set aside.
With wreath laying flat on work surface, score center with scissors to create a guide. Place a dot of hot glue on trimmed tip of flower. Working in a diagonal pattern, insert tips of flowers into wreath, using scored line to center flowers. Press to secure flower until completely dry. Repeat with remaining flowers.
To place leaves, place a small amount of hot glue on bottom tip of stem and place in desired locations between flowers. Press to secure leaves until completely dry. Repeat with remaining leaves. We added leaves after a each diagonal row of flowers had been placed.
To hang wreath, wrap length of ribbon through center and secure ends with bow. You can also create a loop with floral wire and secure to back of wreath with hot glue.
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: We used 6 peony bushes with 6 flowers on each to create this wreath. Based on how large your bushes/flowers are, you may need more or less.
