Your little one can create their own field of beautiful, effortless tulips with a few simple supplies and some imagination.
Supplies:
- White cardstock
- Green permanent marker
- Green construction paper
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Acrylic paint in desired colors
- Paper plate
- Forks
Directions:
Place cardstock sheet horizontally on flat work surface. Draw lines for stems in desired locations with permanent marker.
Cut 2-inch strip lengthwise from green construction paper. Using scissors, create fringe along one long edge of construction paper by cutting in about 1 inch, careful not to cut too far. Apply line of glue along un-fringed side of construction paper and place lengthwise along bottom of cardstock. Let dry completely.
Apply paint to paper plate. Place back of fork in paint, ensuring tines (“prongs”) have paint on them, too. Set back of fork at top of drawn stem and carefully roll towards tines to create tulip shape. Remove fork. Repeat previous steps for remaining tulips in desired colors. Let dry completely.
Happy crafting, friends!
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: We wouldn’t suggest using plastic forks for painting since their backs aren’t as solid as a normal fork.
