Directions:

Print Turkey Headband Template (available below) on white cardstock and cut out eyes, beak and feather with scissors. Set aside.

Cut two 3-inch tall strips from brown cardstock. Adhere strips together by overlapping 2 short ends slightly and securing with glue stick. Clamp with 2 clothespins and let dry completely. Remove clothespins. Wrap strip around child’s head and mark with pencil where ends overlap. Secure ends with glue stick. Clamp with 2 clothespins and let dry completely. Remove clothespins. If desired, trim excess cardstock. Set aside.

Trace feather and beak templates onto desired cardstock colors. Cut out with scissors and set aside.

Place 2 dots of glue on top of beak. Attach eyes in desired directions. Clamp with 2 clothespins and let dry completely. Remove clothespins. Apply line of glue to one seam on headband and affix eyes and beak, matching tip of beak to bottom of headband. Clamp with 2 clothespins and let dry completely. Remove clothespins.

Attach feathers to back interior of headband, securing with line of glue along bottom of feathers. Clamp with clothespins and let dry completely. Remove clothespins.

Enjoy!

ORANGE & FIELD TIP: While we went with more traditional colors for our turkey, it would be fun to let the kiddos use their favorite colors when making their own. For example, Charlotte might make a pink turkey with a purple beak and feathers in shades of both colors.
