These adorable little yarn ghosts are a spooktacular craft idea for the littlest of ghouls.
- Cardboard piece
- White yarn
- Black twine
- Large white pom poms
- Black glitter foam sheet
- Single hole punch
- Super glue
If necessary, trim cardboard to desired length (ours was about 12-inches).
Wrap yarn around cardboard about 50 times and cut excess from skein. Carefully slide yarn off cardboard and cut bottom end with scissors. Cut additional length of yarn, about 8-inches. Set aside.
Lay yarn flat on work surface. Cut a 12-inch length of twine and lay across center of yarn. Place one pom pom in center of yarn. Pull yarn up around pom pom and tie knot in twine. Wrap reserved strand of yarn under pom pom and tie knot to secure. Trim excess yarn.
Punch two dots out of black foam for each ghost. Place two small dots of glue on “face” of ghosts and carefully attach black dots for eyes. Let dry completely.
ORANGE & FIELD TIP: To create a smaller ghost, use a smaller pom pom and wrap the yarn around the cardboard fewer times.
